Where all politics becomes local, the need for national leaders is less important and issues of great importance do not become a personification of them.
I might add that the success of the movement in returning power to local communities and states might save more than few local newspapers.

Maybe a few of the Tea Party protests should be directed at local TV stations and newspaper hqs. They'd sit up and notice then.
That's a thought. We've got four people on the scene of the Knoxville one and I noticed the Tennessean was live blogging and streaming the one in Nashville. We're noticing!
